Our History
Heat Exchanger Services was started in Christchurch in 1998 after the founder sold up a successful radiator shop in the UK, where their career in the UK heat exchanger industry began in August 1987.
The business was originally in partnership with Jimmy Parbery, but while setup of a manufacturing plant was underway overseas, Jimmy got into financial trouble and began stealing from the family business. Attempts were made to resolve the matter amicably, but Jimmy sought to take full control and seize the remaining 50% share.
Jimmy forced the original Heat Exchanger Services into liquidation, receivership, and a mortgagee sale of the factory to take possession of the funds.

The radiator in my mower exploded, the plactic top gave out after 24 years, and I was looking at a hefty sum of $ to get a replacement from the US. I took it in to these guys and they were like, "no problem, we can fix this. Just need to fabricate a new top and weld it in place." And they did! Superb job, at about a fifth of the cost of a new one. Been using the mower today and it works a treat. Highly recommended.
